Bartercard Foundation. Bartercard has long supported charities by allowing members to donate Trade Dollars to charitable causes. We are now taking this one step further and launching the Bartercard Foundation. This will enable us to channel funds from Members and Bartercard in a more consistent and focused manner. The Bartercard Foundation has been designed to support charities that are struggling to get national prominence yet have a great cause.

Bartercard will assist by helping the charity raise Bartercard Trade Dollars which they can spend on national promotions to raise cash from the mass market.

For 2010/2011 Brain Injury New Zealand will be the recipient of donations to the Bartercard Foundation. Brain Injury is a significant issue in New Zealand. 90 New Zealanders sustain a brain injury every day – that’s one incident of brain injury nearly every 15 minutes!

Brain Injury New Zealand provides support, advocacy information and education to people with brain injuries, their families/whanau, and the wider community. To find out more about Brain Injury click here.

The goal is to raise T$100,000 each year for the nominated charity by gaining the support of Bartercard members. We are urging each member to donate T$100, although you are welcome to donate any amount you feel appropriate to this worthy cause. If we had 1,000 members donating just T$100 each we would already be at our goal and assist Brain Injury to make huge difference in the lives of many more New Zealanders.
